Kathleen L. Kirvan is an attorney at Selikoff & Cohen, P.A. in Mount Laurel.  In addition to her work with the firm, Kathleen was a career Lieutenant with the Mount Laurel Fire Department retiring in 2018.  During her tenure as a firefighter, she served as President, Vice President and Shop Steward for the International Association of Firefighters Local 4408 where she negotiated numerous contracts, handled discipline issues and advocated for her coworkers over terms and conditions of employment.
Kathleen received her Bachelor of Science degree in business from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1988.  After graduation, she participated in a graduate-based paralegal certification program and then embarked on a labor and employment paralegal career until she gained employment in the fire service in 1998.  In 2005, Kathleen received her Masters degree in Labor Management Relations from Rutgers University where she was the recipient of a merit scholarship from the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.  In 2010, Kathleen received her Juris Doctor Degree from Rutgers University where she was the recipient of an Executive Women of New Jersey merit scholarship and she was awarded a pro bono mediation award, the Leonard Zack Award for Academic Achievement and the American Bar Association and Bureau of National Affairs Labor and Employment Law Award.

Kathleen is a member of the New Jersey and American Bar Associations as well as the International Association of Firefighters.
