Daniel Dowdy is an associate at Selikoff & Cohen.  Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History in 2014 from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, authoring a thesis on Victor L. Berger, a Milwaukee labor leader.  He attended Rutgers Law, where he served as President of the National Lawyers Guild, Student Leader of the Voters Rights Project, and Student Pro Bono Director of the Pennsylvania Innocence Project.  While at Rutgers, Daniel also received the 2017 Mary Philbrook Student Public Interest Award, the Dean’s Pro Bono Publico Award for service to the community, and the ABA-Bloomberg BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.  Daniel was also an editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion, for which he authored the article “Absurdity, Sincerity, Truth and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster: Title VII Religious Protections and Perceived Satire.”   He also served as a Peggy Browning Fellow during the summer of 2017 at the Previant Law Firm, a union side labor firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  During the 2017-18 academic year, Daniel was an Eagleton Fellow, working with policy staff at the New Jersey Senate Democrats Office.  He received his Juris Doctor and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar in 2018.
